Hello there! I am Disa Jane Burger, an illustrator and graphic designer based in Pretoria, South Africa. As a creative in the visual field, I believe in the power and value of beauty. The reality is that some people are meant to change the world, and others are meant to decorate it. I see those roles as equally critical.

I once heard someone say “Nothing has ever become better by making it prettier” and I could not have disagreed with that statement more. Because for what reason do we still marvel at the Sistine Chapel, the Taj Mahal or even sunsets? It is our hard-wired human desire for beauty. My belief is that beauty, be it in the Sistine Chapel or a beautifully designed business card, makes the world better or at least more pleasant to live in and that’s pretty close. And so, it is my goal to create beautiful designs and illustrations to brighten up the world for those around me.

I live in a world of lines and colours and see the world through a rainbow-tinted lens. I specialise in illustration and graphic design and I shine when I combine the two. My goal as an Illustrator and graphic designer is to bring my clients’ ideas to life and to be the middle man between their wildest dreams and the creation put down on paper. To be able to perfectly create the ideas my clients don't even know that they have is what keeps my spark for creation kindled and burning.

I am currently a third-year student at The Open Window in Centurion and freelancing in my spare time. My goal for the future is to become a renowned and sought after member of my creative field and to contribute something special to every project I undertake. Allow me to leave my creative mark on the future Illustration or graphic design projects that we undertake together. Making the world a better place, one beautiful design at a time.
